Sibling Time

One thing that I especially love about Penn State is that I'm lucky enough to have an older brother who goes here too. He's a senior who's majoring in Mechanical Engineering, which is a little different than my major (Art), but we're still extremely close. He texted me today and said that he was sick and sad and wanted me to come to his apartment. So like the good sister I am, I stopped watching Netflix and made my way downtown. I even brought him green tea, because I'm just that great (I was going to get tea anyway... but don't tell him that).

Naturally, Joey and I drank tea and sang songs because that's what we do when we're sad and in need of a pick me up. I hadn't seen him for a few weeks, which sounds terrible because we go to the same college, but he lives about 15 minutes away from me and our free time never seems to match up. His apartment is next to about five restaurants, which is also an incentive to go see him, because I'm a sucker for food. Speaking of which, he made fettuccine alfredo while I was there and it was probably the highlight of my college experience so far. Have I mentioned I love food?

Even more than food, I love my family and I love having my brother here. There's nothing nicer than being able to see him after a tough day, and I'm so thankful that he's here. He has made my transition to college much easier, because without him I would've been lost. He's a senior this year, so sadly this is the first and only year that we'll be Penn Staters together. But this definitely won't be our last sibling tea time, I can assure you that.
